**OFFICAL*** The Type 97NSR is Non restricted!!!

I was told that the one at Wanstalls was the actual rifle used for RCMP testing. So I don't know how many are really out there.

Not that it matters, I'm just geeking out.

PS - the rifle will fit a red dot and still have a good cheek weld for me. (6'4"). The overall height and ergos of the gun are tighter than you might think.

The guys at Wanstalls were really friendly, they are my new gun shop.

Guys,

A few people have asked the following questions.

Are the barrel's chrome lined? Yes.

Whats is the twist rate? 1 in 7"

What is the muzzle thread? Flash hiders are pinned on.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

That's all great but the real question is are they here yet:D

LOP of 15.5 inches seems very long. I would expect something closer to 12", especially as this is a Chinese design.
For reference, the SKS LOP is 12".

It is only 1.6'' longer then an AR-15 with a standard A2 stock and a Tavor is 15.75''. I guess it just needs the extra space to house all the works behind the trigger, either that or the Chinese are secretly attempting to encourage the evolution of their citizens arm length via extended use of longer LOP rifles. :D

Why yes, please do post a picture meant to (I assume) show how wrong I am. However I stated that an AR-15 with A2 stock. Not an adjustable. Also, how many people use an AR-15 with the stock fully collapsed? I know I feel like a giant when I use any of my rifles with a collapsible stock fully collapsed.

Now trot on.

Wow, LOL, you are very defensive. And completely wrong re: my motivation for posting the pic.
I actually posted the pic b/c (a) it simply gives a visual comparison against an M4, and (b) b/c it backs up the point you made that "it just needs the extra space to house all the works behind the trigger", and (c) to join in on the conversation.

Now unknot those knickers and have a nice day.

Sorry, lack of coffee and small woodland creatures to prey on.
