I was going to refrain from saying anything but I couldn't help myself. I got to hold one of these T97's today. I wont say where or who. You can say Im lying, but Im not. It felt really good. Very light. The finish surprised me a little. Pretty smooth. I hated the safety location and hated the magazine release even more, but I still loved the gun. The stock is a little smaller then Im used to and will take a little adjusting but everyone will have a different opinion on that. The carry handle is fine with me. Slap a red dot up there and it should work well enough. Will be buying one for sure!

I think this is why Norinco needs to make the 5.56mm version of their Type 95-1...

You mean you don't have a retractable third hand? Yeah... it's going to be a problem isn't it, the AK-47's safety is on the right side of the receiver for the same reason.... I feel really sorry for those who doesn't have an extra hand like us Chinamen and Ruskies...

I have a feeling someone will make something to alleviate the magazine release problem, but from what I was told, we are SOL with regards to the safety.
