Officially the coolest 10/22 ever.

I see no point, 30Carbine is sweet round to shoot, why would anybody on earth replace it with 22lr. Imagine having this thing in your hands, pointing it down range and then pok, pok,

- "wtf? It was supposed to be bang-bang what is this pok-pok doin' here?"

I didnt make it, and the guy i bought it from bought it as well haha
however, what i can tell you, is the magazine extension, and the op-rod fake, are both WOOD

very nicely done.
i may make additional magazines myself, and mod it a bit further to re-do the fake op-rod in aluminum or something.

I made your rifle.

The magazine on my M1 is a real M1 mag that is epoxied onto the bottom of the Ruger rotary magazine. I've seen Dereks M1 on Rimfire Central but don't know who the previous owner was. His magazine is what clued me in from where I had seen it last.

My OP is wood as well but you would be surprised if you saw it up close. You couldn't tell it was wood. The inletting was done with a dremel tool and the pattern for the inletting I got off of the 1022 section at Rimfire Central. Other than carving out the stock, there was really nothing else to do except assemble it. Oh and the mag, I had to epoxy it on and make a little wood thingy to look like an operating rod handle. No big deal. Maybe even less than 5 hours except I painted the barrel band as it was a little ratty.

Yours is more awesomer. I was thinking of a metal mag but decided on a wood one for cost reasons. The fake op-rod is wood too as bbq pointed out. The oiler has electrical tape wrapped around it as you can see in the pics and the sling is missing!!!

edit: bbq's mag is only 5 rounds capacity too, because I screwed, instead of glued, the wood mag on.

Not to pry as to what you paid for it, but if I was to put mine on the market, what do you think I could get for it.

The rifle was $200 new (all the internals polished, trigger job)
Stock $200
Sights $70
Mag $35
Barrel Band $30
Sling $30
Total $565.

Labour 5 hours $75/hr:D not included:p

I'd like to know what my art is worth too! ;)

Skirsons, where did you get your stock from. Mine came from Marstar and they had advertised it as solid walnut but it was white wood instead. I was rather pissed off because of the price they charged. If it was walnut I woudn't have minded so much but they actually went out of their way in the ad to state it wasn't one of those cheap asian knock offs but solid walnut. It did make the inletting a lot easier.

BTW, that wood mag is really quite excellent. I actually prefer it to mine other than the lose of rounds.

My stock came from Sarco in the US. They don't mind that its illegal to send one because it's for an M1 Carbine which is restricted for export in the US.

As far as I could tell, mine was American walnut. When I did the inletting the wood underneath the stain appeared to be walnut... and smell like the stench of walnut too. Not as stinky as oak, though.
