Ok guys! I can't sell this gun! TELL ME WHY!

Adverise the scope and rings for $200 shipped and the rifle for $400 shipped and you'll get your money.

Sorry to go off topic abit, but what do you think of that scope?
I was thinking of getting one myself.

Thats a really nice scope for the money Callum. I have one on a 30/06 Mauser. Not as clear as my VX-III but at a third of the price who cares.

Good pictures will very easily make your sales quicker and closer to your asking price.

All of my sales had very good pictures, and I sold 5 guns within 10 days. My buddy had 4 rifles for sale, and he started BEFORE me, and he has only sold one of them so far...

It's all about taking good pictures!

sorry guys

Thanks for the replies guys. Let me answer a few questions/reply

I'd say advertise around besides here... ...Or trade it to me for my Auto 5!

Any suggestions on where to advertise? I don't think the citizen would take kindly to an arms dealer ;)

As to the shotgun: I'm all set on shotguns.. but if you have anything else I'd love to hear it!

...I sell guns cuz I want to, not because I have to.

I think my addiction says other wise for myself! :(

There is a few 270s on the EE right now. Seems everyone wants the WSM version over the slow, inefficient, archaic, Winchester flavour.

I think 400 is too low though. Definitely it'd get moved at that price, but I'd rather have it not sell then take a huge loss.

lots of good Advice, but whats a new one cost, scope and rifle also how long did you use it? I never usualy have a hard time selling. I do like to make money but if I payed 500 for something used it for 5 years and sold it for 300 I would be happy..that works out to 40 bucks a year....my cost.. but thats just me...

I think way to manny people are trying to make big bucks

my two cents

I'm the second owner. I'm just not sure how much it should be worth. I've fired three shots :D

**note**

If you've pm'd me in the last day or so I've accidentally deleted my pms. Please send another!

O It's a Winchester m70 .270 XTR sporting a 3200 Bushnell rain guard/firefly.

So are you asking 500 bucks WITH the scope or 500 WITHOUT? The add doesn't say the scope is included yet on this post you seem to indicate it is.

As the scope is probably "worth" 150 - 175 bucks that would put the rifle at 325 - 350 which is a fair deal for someone even if it does need to be reblued.

Yeah, I agree... $350 for a functional big name bolt action rifle is a good deal. And the scope is a nice one, too.

Way back when I was looking for a .270 there were none to be had on the EE. So, I had a Rem 700 long action rebarreled with a factory take-off barrel to join the .270 club...

If I had $500 right now, you would no longer have this problem!!!

As stated in many posts:

-Your in the off-season right now
-The EE forum has several .270's listed at the moment
-"Magnum" is the new ###y
-NEW packages in .270 are only $25-$40 more

Don't give up..don't settle for the lowballers & relist in a few weeks.

Mike, one thing I've found, selling 270s is difficult anyway. One of the main reasons is that it's a bastard bullet diameter. Most handloaders want something that mixes and matches, like 308 diameter or 284 dia. Not the only reason of course but a valid one. bearhunter

I've decided to take it off the board. I'm going to get some work done for it, re touch the bluing I think and place it up later!

Im looking for a .270 for deer season, a good beater gun and have looked at your add as well as all the other .270s but find it hard to buy a used rifle when for the same money I can get a brand new Savage with clip and accutrigger, Weatherby Vanguard, Mossberg 4x4 ect... These rifles that retail for around $5oo shoot well, are new with no surprises and a great value.
That elite 3200 with firefly would be a great scope minus the thick reticle of the firefire. I had an Elite 4200 with firefly and really had a hard time selling it due to the thick reticle of the firefly.
I think you'll sell it soon now that deer season is close, if not you can always keep dropping the price till someone takes it.

Cheers!!

NO dont drop the price RAISE it up that was the problem, hell guys are selling 20 year old ruger boat paddles for $950 with the 30lb pull triggers and stiff bolts

Im gonna list my tikka T3 300 with the mueller tach 2 scope for $4500 yet this week if the firearms market keeps climbing like this :rolleyes::D:D:D:D

lol bone-collector I know, I know :D

Okay. I've put it back up (short hiatus I know but it was after 7 days) with new pictures!

Shows the scuff marks a lot better and as you can see the previous photos were pretty crappy.

Like they all have said. Wrong timing on the season. Down here in the KW area that would be snaged up quick for deer or coyotes.

Reduce the number of pics. Have 1-2 good full view shots of the complete gun.

your price is on target.

Wait till all the folks get back from there holidays.

September will be a great sell month for it.
