OK how do I aim this

Thanks for all the replies. I’ll be back at the range on Saturday with a camera and I’ll try again. I’ll also try some heavier bullets. If nothing improves I’ll just through my pistol at the target. Great advice from everyone I hope this thread has helped others as well.

Also ladies and gents I did get to the ranch on the weekend and a good time was had by all. I tried the combat hold and the heavier bullets and it worked. All I need now is more practice. I’m still not as good with my beretta as I am with my 357 but I’ll work on it. Thanks again for all the suggestions. Here is my best 10 rds group at 30 ft. With 124gr blazer it was the heaviest I had. 49E303D1-0A8A-4B99-A8D6-D26569401A9F.jpg

That is quite good for getting use to a gun.
looking at the pictures of your back sight, I would have trouble with that I think.
Shooting bulls eye, i always held at 6 on the black center of a 25 yd target, but that is with adjustable sights, on my Hi Standards, and 1911.
These days I am shooting more combat guns and revolvers and do better with a center hold.
I also find I shoot better with just a plain sheet of paper with a small dot ( or the first shot ) in it, rather than look at a bunch of circles and what not.
But as you shoot the other stuff good, You will figure it out, I would be tempted to take a bit of black tape on the back sight to raise the bottom of the slot up, looks too deep to me.

marshall the sight he has appears to be a two dot sight system where you get two dots one over the other. The cut on the rear sight is not that deep. You get this sight picture : where you place one dot over the other. I find those sights to be difficult to shoot quickly. Others don't. I almost always black out the rear sight on three dot systems. I prefer to concentrate on the front sight only where you just drop the front sight into the rear notch.

Take Care
