So, I got one of the new Marstar M-14's a while back. Only had 20 rounds down her and is bone stock.
I just discovered a little bit of an issue however.
I was doing a function test, and did the test to check the sear by firing, holding the trigger and pulling the charging handle. It worked fine when the rifle was level, but then I tried holding the rifle with my right hand and charging it with my left. As a result, as soon as I forwarded the charging handle the hammer would drop.
The rifle's position was pointed down, and tilted to the left. Like I mentioned it is normal when held level, and only seems to fail the test when held in the way i described.
Obviously the rifle is grounded until I can solve the issue (and afford ammo lol) so any input will be great.
I did read the function test sticky and from what I understand an improperly set stock can cause the issue? Ill go over the stickies again in the AM, but figured the minds of CGN could help troubleshoot until then.
Thanks.
