Model 99 ..... anyone ?
I'm thinking of buying one they seem to be good performers......but you don't see them in movies![]()
I've actually never shot anything with a 30-30. Don't even own one (never have). Should probably remedy that.
Best 30/30 group at 100 yards for me
... out of my 1950s model 94, factory irons, 3 shots covered by a loonie about 5 years back, no pics for proof ... can't remember whether it was reloads or factory, 150s or 170s ... been wearing graduated lenses for at least 20 years now, and am not considered a great shot either by myself, or the geezers I hang out with.
It was an immense shock to me, and confirmed that not all freak accidents are bad.
Wow, I thought you would have owned one at some point. I have had a couple Marlins and one Winny. Winny rattled all day long. Marlins were both very good shooters. My present Marlin still goes with me deer hunting when I just want to walk the hills back in the bush and enjoy the outing with a nostalgic rifle.
I concede that the Marlin tends to be a very accurate number. But I do enjoy the slender proportions of the Winchester M94 for a long day of hunting and hand carried by the middle point, when I wish to pack as lightly as possible.
Cheers.......
That's a cat from the coast ..... nice tom
Nope...... North Okanagan
