Richard, thanks for putting on a super match AND keeping your cool to sort through all the ups and downs the match threw at you. It was very smoothly run and it couldn't have been resolved any better.
Very quick thinking on your feet. We will get the team match next time - that would have been way too much fun.
To Paul Reibin, for being a great range officer and keeping us slow (chatting too much ) shooters onto the line and keeping the match moving along.
To the target pullers, only CR@P!!!! I bet most of their arms are a few inches longer and very sore from keeping those targets up. I have scored but nothing like those winds and those targets need some strength to keep in place and not moving about. Nice job to all.
Yes, the wind blew and I have not had this much fun missing in my life. What a hoot! You really gain a whole lotta trust in your gear when it is hold 5 ring one shot then outside 3 the next.
My favorite, setting up on where you want to aim, looking at the flags and pulling the trigger not looking through the scope cause the flags are changing too fast.
Both Bill Leeper and Bob Pitcairn (sp?) really impressed me with their wind reading skills. Shooting a 308 and 223 respectively, they shot such high scores despite winds which bounced our high BC combo's all over the map.
To all the novice and new shooters that came near and far to play. Kind of a trial by fire but you have seen some of the worst and best air you can shoot in and its not the end of the world. I prefered the gale
Longshot, I hope that more tactical shooters will come out to F matches. Nice rifle and it seem to shoot great.
Tomochan, Yes, when your shot is 3 mins off target - TURN THAT DIAL!!!!!!
Inspector put a whole new spin on Mexican match. Take care of Richards rifle - shoots pretty darn good.
A big thumbs up to Blake S and rshew for coming out as novice shooters. Blake put on quite a show at 500m on the 3rd relay. First time at this distance, birds walking and he shot one of the highest score of any F shooter. Kids got talent.
If it wasn't for a few more V's I picked up along the way, he would have beaten me with my own rifle.
Way to go MarcT. for a great steady match. Yes, getting greedy for another V can bite you in the @$$. Nice shooting.
Ron Hiller's near perfect 20 shot match on Sunday. That is a tack driver. You better not shoot out that barrel or Wendy is going to KILL you.
For those that are looking at the relay scores and wondering, the relays went 2-15, 2-15, 2-10 (due to time), 2-15 and 2-20 (to make up for the Sat reduction). 5 is the max score per shot. V's are used as tie breakers.
So much more to add. Hope those that took pics will be able to post them.
Was a great match and I had a superb time. Looking forward to the VBulls in Oct.
