Once you find the killer load for a particular barrel, it comes off and goes into storage with the load info taped to the barrel and is only put back on the action prior to match week. Practice comes with another barrel screwed onto the same action.

This is not a new concept and has been done by countless teams all around the world for many years.

The difference between other teams of the world and the Canadian team comes in the form of sponsorship (bullet makers, barrels, required attire, etc...). The US team lacks for nothing in this dept with bullets, smith work, brass, team clothing, etc at no charge (or very little charge) to the team members.

Not to mention the fact that most of the top notch shooters have the $$$ to travel to matches all over the continent which us "working folk" can not always afford to do.
