Not sure if this is in the right forum or not, but I'm looking for some info on an old rifle that was handed down to me. I apologize in advance as I don't have pictures right now as the gun is still down south. Gun appears to be a .43 Mauser (or Spanish), I haven't cast the chamber yet but the bore is the right size and it came with 3 boxes of loaded turn of the century ammo for .43. Bolt action repeater originally built in 1872 and (I believe) rearsenaled in 1882 as a repeter. I believe it was issued to the BC light horse infantry around the turn of the century. Looking for a possible ID on the rifle, as I haven't found much online. I apologize for the lack of info and pictures.
