Just wondering if an old shotgun in 12guage that is 140years old has to be registered?
If you own only antique firearms you do not need to:
get a firearms licence; or
register any of your antique firearms.
Provided I'm understanding that right, as long as it's rimfire or doesn't use a modern cartridge, then you're alright.Shotguns:
manufactured before 1898 that can discharge only rim-fire cartridges, other than 22 Calibre Short, 22 Calibre Long or 22 Calibre Long Rifle cartridges;
manufactured before 1898 that can discharge centre-fire cartridges, other than 10, 12, 16, 20, 28, or 410 gauge cartridges
Seeing as the OP stated that the gun is 12 ga, if is a centerfire breechloader, it would be subject to registration.
