My old man has one made in 1918. Over its long and storied life,
it has taken out more moose than the Trans Canada Highway. One on hunt it accidentally got knocked out of our boat, and wasn't rescued until we could find diving equipment, about a week or two later. Buried nearly its entire length, muzzle-first in cold Newfoundland lake mud. Took it out, scrubbed it clean, still works like a charm and shoots with frightening accuracy.
After the bombs drop and all this #### goes Chernobyl, the only things left on earth will be radioactive cockroaches, twinkies, and Enfields.
Enjoy it!
