Our country is lame in so many ways, I am beginning to wonder where and if we make for it in other ways anymore.
- Better beer and wine
- Prettier and LIGHTER women
- Do not have to worry about bankruptcy if I have a heart attack
- SAFE communities
- LOWER debt to GDP ratio
- MUCH lower crime rate
- Relatively equitable court system
- No litigation lottery
- Not dependent on Petro-dictatorships other than Alberta
- No BGH in meat
- No Wall Street f**king the financial system every 5 years
- Three distinct political parties instead of two that are really one
- Kick ass peacekeepers not arrogant war mongers
- Politeness
- Much less venality
- Recycle far more than the US
- Better social safety net
- We give a s**t about our neighbour (mostly) instead of fearing them
- Touques and Chesterfields
- 25% of the worlds fresh water
- Maple Syrup
- Quebec and the lovely people therein (Gotta love Quebec City and Quebec Women)
- A completely voluntary Armed Forces
- Respected by the world over (except for environmental performance)
- One of the richest nations on the planet
- Tolerance in our societies
- Banks that got it right
- And generally a great place to live. The rest is noise.
There is more to life than owning a firearm. We live in quite possibly the greatest country on Earth. Just because you can fondle unimpeded every piece of black rifle ####o in the US does not singularly warrant pining for life in the USA.
I am Canadian and damn proud of it. We are not perfect but we pretty well have gotten it right.
