The Type 81 receiver is probably much stronger than its AK counterpart, considering the same thickness in the stamped metal, due to the two-bend taper that runs from the front to the back. It certainly won't flex as much.
Whether or not that extra rigidity is enough to just ignore the increased stress of the LMG is another story. I think so, but I obviously have no proof.

there is a quad rail for the non-lmg but i dont know if it fits besides its as rare as hens teeth so it goes for a premium.

best to ask TI and if its coming in on the next shipment.
 
The side rail is how China shouldve done it in the first place. The Soviets started bolting them to their AKs in the 60s with great success... fast forward 20 YEARS China releases the better rifle and doesnt incorporate really any design feature that supports optics on the gun ?! guess they figured optics are a commodity they cant afford to give their troops and later down the road produced these wack a$$ Zenitco wannabe forend rails for special divisions lol

The Type 81 receiver is actually thicker.

I might end up installing a barrel mount if there's not a readily available option. Whatever happens I will not be drilling the receiver
 
Way cool rifle, well, i might pickup another on the next shipment. Sure they will be on the prohibited list but that is important to buy know as they become ghost rifles. Holala.

I agree! I couldnt afford one right now but i will be ready when the next batch come in. Maybe i will get a boat too,even if boat accident can happen again...
 
some air leaked out of my bubble. the drum isnt what i expected. it has no internals, not like the romanian drums.

Drum has full internals, top of wheel is cutout for 5 rounds instead of 75. As per the main thread it has been confirmed you can install 75 round wheel and we are working to be able to provide replacement wheels upon requests free of charge. Just waiting on full details first :)
