OMG, i cant believe its here. type 81 LMG

Did anyone else get a “packing list” with their type81 lmg?
Part of the paperwork that I recieved included the manual, a QC inspection slip and the packing list which shows what the rifles were shipped with and what they were supposed to come with
I seen somewhere on here that someone posted that the packing box has a spot for the drum (which it does) and they figured that the rifle should have come with it.
According to the packing list each box comes with the rifle, one drum, two stick mags, sling, the accessory toolkit that goes in the buttstock and the oil can

i will know the day after when i get mine.

i wonder why they removed the drum? i would have gladly paid $1700 for it.

I have a buddy that will parkerize it for a $100.

$100? he is making any money? most would charge that just to bead blast the gun.

i know someone that does it too in his garage and he has a bead blaster to remove the blue. he says he would charge $300.

Yup that's right. An AK is half the cost of a T81, so most of their export sales are AK's. We were told that with there no longer being internal demand for T81 they were planning on shutting down production line to make way for more modern stuff. However we were told just a few days ago that this shutdown might be put on hold as they got a large foreign military order. Apparently while the Chinese government might be done with Type 81, there is still occasional demand from other foreign militaries that still use T81 and need new stock to either maintain or expand existing armouries. The good news is this means we could be looking at regular series production T81's in late 2021/2022 again. Not all older products were that lucky, apparently the Type 03 tooling was completely dismantled and gone forever now.

what a surprise? i thought no more rifle (non-lmg) are being made. some of you who guessed there will be more should pat yourself on the back, . ;)

any who, this is good news for those who want one but didnt wanna pay a premium. rejoice!!

coming in late next year or 2022.

Nice! along with that I hope they bring in LEGITIMATE and USEFULL part kits. Things like firing pins, the bolt, hammers, EXTRACTORS, springs....

That's a old Mil Arm trick. They used to take out all the accessories that came with the rifle and then sell them. For instance SKS, they took out the slings, ammo pouches and cleaning kit. The sad part of it was they would sell the rifle for the same price as everyone else that sold the rifle with all the accessories.

I don't see how it's a trick, that way you have a choice about what you pay for.

i agree its not a trick but i think they should have left them and increase the price. i would gladly pay $1500+200 drum + 15 sling = $1715 .

all these options just slows shipping. eg, someone want the drum but not the sling, now they have to open the box and remove it.

If it were me I would want to check the contents before I sent them out regardless. Imagine how people would cry if they did not get what they paid for.

sure, checking still is faster (open and shut box, tape) than checking the list and removing items.

They made you pay the exact same price as a rifle that came with all the accessories.

The seller sets the price, how he makes his profit is up to him to decide, if he does not make a profit he will not sell any at all... Which would you prefer ?

the problem is a month later people are still waiting for theirs and thats bcos too much time is wasted checking the list and removing items in the warehouse.

You no more idea than me as to what they do in their warehouse. You are just making it up as you go along.

Who knows what they do and whether or not it is justified... but an obvious reoccurring theme for TI is they always seem to create more hype then they can handle and sometimes deliver on. If they dont want to get bashed or scrutinized for their organization and timing skills then maybe they should slow down and truely get their sh!t ready before taking on such huge endeavors.
