There is no change in the law regarding transfers. The only thing that changes is your RPAL is considered your ATT for most (not all) purposes. The conditions of an ATT still apply. Having worked in a gun shop I can clarify the gun club membership issue. When a business transfers a restricted via the RCMP Business Web a series of questions is asked one of which is the purpose of the acquisition. As mentioned there are only two purposes, target shooting or collecting. If you say target shooting the next question is "name of gun club". You cannot leave this blank. If you say collecting there is a series of questions regarding the firearm Currently the RCMP is satisfied if you mark down "planning to join club X". That is why a business asks for the name of the gun club. Hope this clarifies the issue. TC
