so I'm shoping around for my new hunting rifle. I think I've narrowed it down to a rem 700 CDL in 30-06. with probably a leupold vxII 3-9x40.
and now I'm looking at the stuff inbetween.
seems I have a choice of weaver #35/36 2 peice base or a #98 one peice.
I asume the one peice will be more solid? and I assume it won't interfer at all with loading / unloading? or does it?
is there any reason to go for the 2 peice instead of the 1 other then a few bucks? (and maybe weight?)
