Boomer said:The way they set up the picture with the hunter standing 10' feet behind the cat brings it's real size into question, but a nice cat all the same. Thanks for the info.
WildCats said:The cat is from Western Alberta. The fella on the right is Byron Stewart, owner/operator of "Track n Trails" outfitting in Cynthia, Alberta. The cat is as big as they get, scored over 15" Boone and Crocket. There is no photoshop with these pictures.
"Salty" Once the hounds get their chance to chew on the cat they don't show much interest anymore, it's tough just to get them looking ahead for a picture.

Not really, but I will anyways. I've just never seen such a big cat in the wild. Just felt bad for the king, thats all.Silverado said:Would you care to elaborate on that?
Salty said:Thanks for the clarification WildCats. Appologies to those involved for questioning the photo - it just looked weird. I'm glad to know the true story.
That is a huge cat. Gorgeous houds too.Trained a hell of a lot better than my two muts

Noel said:I totally agree with the first comment about sitting back from the trophy to make it look even bigger. Maybe it wasn't intentional, but either way one just has to look at the width between the ears and that bulging shoulder to know it is a great cat.
Bragg Creek, Oregon...... er Alberta...... lol got to love how this crap gets twisted to match each person's fantasies.![]()

Heck, everyone else on the interweb seems to be trying it![]()
I bet it would and not just with the dogs!!John Y Cannuck said:As a guy that has hunted with hounds for many years. I wouldn't concern yourself with the dogs apparent lack of interest in the dead cat.
If the cat was to move however, pandemonium would break loose.

Boomer said:While we asre on the kitty subject, I was sent these pics in an email, but no information to go with them. Anyone with insight chime in.

As always it's good to see the "little people" are getting out hunting.
With regards to Noels first 3 photo's, the second 2 just don't look right for whatever reason but it's one nice cat to be sure. If I knew how to run all this prophoto software on this computer I'd put myself in the pic but instead I'll just count my blessings I'm able to turn this bastard on and operate the "flush toilet" thingy upstairs.
