One toad of a putty-tat!

One of my inside sources sent this to me today.
The story says it is from Bragg Creek, Oregon.
I've never been there but the vegatation seems more northernish than that to me.
I don't think our friend holding the cat here is very tall, but the width of the skull (ears too) on this cat leads me to think it is quite a toad. I know what I would have done had it been in a tree in front of me!

That is a very nice lion, but I find it funny how some guys sit so far back behind the animal when they're getting their photo taken, so that the animal looks bigger. Let the trophy speak for itself.

I will bet dollars to donuts that that at least last 2 pics were photoshoped, look at the background/forground. 5 hounds and not one looking at the cat? I don't think so....

Tom is from Alberta. Guide is the fellow on the right in the pic with the dogs. It's not photoshoped it is a very big Tom.

2nd and 3rd pics look wrong. Too clean a break between the lion and the rest.
Looks like it was pasted but nor blended.

Not saying they ared fake, just they look fake.
Still looks like a huge lion though.

Either way, that's a big cat. A couple of those hounds are particularily nice looking as well. ( the Walker and the second from the left, a bluetick)

Some day soon I must do a cougar hunt with hounds. It's a western tradition and a hell of an exciting/challenging hunt from what I've been told.

I also hear the meat tastes quite like pork.

The cat is from Western Alberta. The fella on the right is Byron Stewart, owner/operator of "Tracks n Trails" outfitting in Cynthia, Alberta. The cat is as big as they get, scored over 15" Boone and Crocket. There is no photoshop with these pictures.
"Salty" Once the hounds get their chance to chew on the cat they don't show much interest anymore, it's tough just to get them looking ahead for a picture.

If indeed you are correct(I am sure you are), it just shows all of us how much bullsh!t floats around on the internet. It is very annoying

Yeah beauty cat... and I cannot even imagine how exciting that hunt would be.
I for one am jealous of that guys trophy and the chance to hunt like that.
No need to chant "Photo-Shop" or "Shame" to prove my jealousy.

As a guy that has hunted with hounds for many years. I wouldn't concern yourself with the dogs apparent lack of interest in the dead cat.
If the cat was to move however, pandemonium would break loose.
