One word yes or no..Should I buy a norinco 1911

Yes , having said that we should make a concerted effort to support Canadian and American manufactures when possible.

NO, save up and buy a decent 1911. I have handle quite a few, and the quality is sub-par. You need to practically rebuild them to get something half decent. Go with a Kimber instead.

Well, yes if one doesn't want to spend the money for something better.....I don't presently own a Nork 1911 but I did own a Police model for a few months. I sold it off after putting it through its' paces and checking it out "up close and personal". Meh, it was accurate and reliable with acceptable fit and finish but I wanted better. To each, their own. Your money, your choice. YMMV.....

Only reason people don't like it is because it's made in China. I would say it does however have the best quality to price ratio for almost any pistol. Something about the steel they use as well is stronger than other handguns.

Or will it jam up and give me problems? it comes with a one year warranty.

let me put it this way... i have a beretta 90 two 9 mil...and the hammer rest has just split in half after a year of usage...like it was programmed to break on the 13 th month or something.... i wish my gun would have costed as little as a norc, that way i would be laughing to the bank to get money for another one instead of crying to reg 500 $ for a new frame...if i can ever find one

the computer you wrote your post on is made in china...

And how is it 10 times better?

Slide to barrel fit, barrel bushing fit, slide to frame fit, trigger shoe in frame fit, trigger fit and function, hammer to sear engagement, grip safety fit, overall finish and apperance, you know little things like that.

As for the Dlask 1911 pistols, I would put those up against the highest quality 1911's on the market. Especially for what you would pay for them. Hopefully some other Dlask owners will chime in about there pistols.;)

For $400 you would probably get an STI or whatever that's been put through hell and back, meanwhile you can get a BRAND NEW 1911 that's not all that bad. Allowing you to invest the rest of the money, you would have spent, on some reloading equipment or ammo, cus we all know how it is to shoot .45. For those watching the wallet trying to shoot on a budget, for the price you cannot beat it.
