If you could only have one handgun for everything that you use a handgun for, which one would it be? (No sci-fi stuff lol)

Choosing from what I have on hand? a) If all the rules that we have to follow are still in effect? I only use mine for target, so the GSG 1911 in .22LR, for economical practice. b) For all possible uses? SHTF and no rules? Only enough time to grab one and take cover? CZ75 in 9mm - I shoot my 1911 well, but could carry more ammo for the CZ. Any handgun? A .357 revolver is on my wish list already, and I'm encouraged by what some posters have said about versatility.

The US military issued Eskimo soldiers .22lr pistols so they could hunt near Japanese troops without being heard, so my gsg 1911 is high up on the list. In a perfect world, I would have a pcc with a pistol that used the same mags.

Mission Impossible: need inexpensive dedicated target pistol or two, a good 38/357, 1911 in 45 and a few 44 Magnums. Throw in a Beretta and a ROA too.
