ONT New restricted transfer wait times??

I received my parcel today. Looks like the transfer was complete by March 27th. It was started on March 9th. I am a little surprised it did not take longer but I think I beat the masses by a few days.

It puzzles me how transfers are being processed when the message i am receiving is they are not able to keep up being short staffed due to current situations
 
Is it takes longer if buying multiple items? I bought 3 pistols from different seller at beginning of March but haven't received any approval so far
 
Ok jumping into this late. I have a stupid question. I've had my restricted for quite some time but just never pulled the trigger (groan) on a purchase. I understand you need to wait for approval for transfer which has been delayed quite a bit lately. What I was curious about was whether it is actually allowed to be shipped via parcel. I see some of you receiving parcels. I always thought I was married to going in and picking them up. The way things are going now I don't mind shopping around Canada now if I can get it shipped to me :)
 
Ok thanks.. this opens the world up to more stores out there. I always thought I was pretty screwed because there really is only 1 store within 200km of me.
 
From a local store , bought on a Tuesday everything was normal , went back on the coming Friday cuz I heard they were going to close and I was shocked beyond belief, store normally has 500+ guns , there was now 6 and the only ammo looked to be for a musket
 
Just got off the phone right now with the CFC. I started a transfer and for the first time ever I didn't have to wait on hold, it rang straight through. The nice lady said that they are handling the volume just fine, because volume of restricted transfers is actually slightly down!
 
I bought my first restricted last week and I'm waiting for approval. I know I new Card is printed after your first restricted purchase and sent to you. Do you think they will approve the transfer so the store can ship it to me? Despite new card printing being stopped?
 
There is so much confusion going on right now with transfers it seems, i just got off the phone with the CFO and i was told they are only at March 8th transfers and i could expect 1-2 months from now before mine is finalized.
With whats said here I will be calling tomorrow to see if there is any different information.

Well the CFC is different than the CFO of Ontario but I got a transfer on March 26th that I started on March 3rd so only took 23 days for that transfer. Hope you were just taking to someone who was having a bad day.
 
I did a private purchase from an Ontario seller last week that only took 3 days - Transfer initiated on Tuesday, got confirmation of approval and shipping on Friday. To be fair, it's not my first restricted, so that may have sped it up some.
Since I'm in Alberta, maybe the Ontario CFO prioritizes transfers that get the "evil restricted firearms" out of his province. ;)

Transfers are completed by the buyers CFO and has nothing to do with the sellers province.
