ONT New restricted transfer wait times??

2 weeks now in Ontario and nothing. Any way to speed this along? What's the process for getting it emailed?

I called in to complete the transfer Dec 1st and am still waiting for approval.

Checkerd the spam folder. Approved Dec 10th

When you call in, you got to ask for email notification. If not, wait 2-3 weeks extra for the paper mail.

At 5 weeks.

Now going to be at least that much longer maybe up to 8 weeks.

Told up to at least 5-8 more weeks.

Excuse is the firearm came from an estate.

And regardless of seller and buyer the estate transfers are handled separately.

Apparently they are just starting to process estate firearms from SEPTEMBER

Purchase was in early November so sometime in January or February 2021 maybe......

I recently made a purchase at an online gun store, and the transfer time was around 2 weeks. Now I just need to wait for my new pistol to ship, with the rest of the country ordering Christmas gifts, the shipping delays may take longer than the transfer time! 2020 has definitely been a year for firsts lol.

Day 6 now. On Friday I will call. As the person I spoke to said they expected it to be approved no later then the second week.

I now have to forward to the company so should have my new girsan before Christmas.

Day 9, UPS is suppose to be on it's way, so should arrive before 8:00 PM

Further Update, I get see a notice online that UPS attempted to deliver my restricted, problem is it's a lie. They did not attempt to deliver as they would have been caught on Camera. So I call UPS and well they are not sure where it actually is, they say they will call me later tonight.

Anyone else experience this. I'm thinking it is lost and I am out money.

Last order from Tenda was approved in 9 days, Ontario -> Ontario.

They found it the UPS person tried to deliver to the neighbor where nobody was home. So in total from first business day of order it took 9 days from CFO to my house.

Feb 08 - 17.
9 days.

Currently doing another one and it’s been 15 days so far.

Update on the longer transfer started on Feb 22nd.
I just called and learned that it was completed on March 4th but neither I nor the seller received an email. I had to call to learn it was approved and called Ontario today and they said they will email us both today.
This is a good example to call or check your online status. Especially in Ontario.

So it was from Feb 22-Mar 4. 9 days wait. (Ontario to Ontario)
