ONT New restricted transfer wait times??

That’s way quicker than my last one a year ago was. How do you check it online?

Update on the longer transfer started on Feb 22nd.
I just called and learned that it was completed on March 4th but neither I nor the seller received an email. I had to call to learn it was approved and called Ontario today and they said they will email us both today.
This is a good example to call or check your online status. Especially in Ontario.

So it was from Feb 22-Mar 4. 9 days wait. (Ontario to Ontario)

This happened to my Feb 12 - Feb 18th transfer. Nobody was notified...I called in March 1st after hearing nothing to realize it was approved feb 18th. Funny thing is, I received my reg papers the next day...

mine is the other direction I bought from a store in Ontario and still waiting 10 days and counting.


Have a friend who purchased from CSC and the transfer only took 16 hours. Needless to say I am a little disappointed.

Ontario business to Ontario private.........1 day. Yes 1 friggin day. Last year at this time I waited 12 or 13 weeks.

I started 2 transfers on may 28, one as a buyer from a private seller in NS and one as a seller to a private buyer in ON. Both were approved today, 4 business days. That is not too bad at all!

I bought my first restricted from an online vendor July 26th (located in Ontario). Still waiting. I reached out to the ON CFO and they said they couldn’t give me an estimated timeline.

Yeah, I've been told it's about a 12-day backlog... I purchased 2 more Restricteds on August 2nd and have heard nothing back yet. Hopefully, we get some news soon! I've been postponing my next range trip as I eagerly want to use my new tools haha.

For Ontario buyers I spoke with my LGS and currently they are receiving approved restricted transfers from July 30 and 31. Which means I have to wait another week or so before I get to bring my new one home.
