Exactly 200 meters is not that far if you can not walk that far, I think hunting is not for you, unless you are one of the guys that shots, kills and walks away from it, leaving it to rot.
This comment is somewhere between rude and someone who is young, self centred and inexperienced. I could tramp through bush all day, without issue, loved it, I am comfortable in the bush. I was raised in Northern Ont. we played in the bush as kids. Then in my mid fifties I got viral pneumonia. The virus settled in my heart and greatly weakened it permanently. It's called "dilated cardio myopathy", go a head and google it, then let me know if you want to donate your heart to me as a heart transplant is the only procedure that will help, so I will trade you my heart for yours. You see now I can't walk 200 yds. through the bush. My heart just can't pump the blood needed for tramping through the bush. But maybe when this heart is in your chest it will be a different story, and you can walk back in the bush many times to set up and service a bear bait. Shoot the bear and drag him out.
You see things in life change, and not the way you want them to. So your have to learn to adapt. I am adapting to my disability. Just like one of my best friends fell out of a tree stand a couple years before I got sick. I helped carry him out of the bush to the medevac helicopter. Broke his back in two places. He has many complications. When he is well enough to hunt he has the MNR exemption to hunt and shoot from an ATV. He also is learning to adapt to a situation he never wanted to be in. By the way the safety chain on his stand broke, he was on the ground before he new it.
According to you we should not be hunting but playing board games and watching game shows. Sorry not happening! So I wish you a long healthy life, and may you never get viral pneumonia or fall out of a tree stand. And you will let me know when you want to take me up on my offer to trade hearts.
