Ontario Hunters - Respond to EBR Posting on Proposed Licencing Changes

You can bet that the fees will increase a whole lot. Just like everything else this moronic Ont Government has done. Blow the money some where else or give it to Toronto so they can buy the votes to stay in power.

I wonder how that will work for those that have an H1, but did not submit their paperwork for a PAL. Legally they could hunt with a flintlock rifle or smoothbore with an H1 and no PAL. Hmmm, interesting.

Ya are they nuts print your own paper tags!? Would last 30 min in my pocket and about 30 seconds on the animal being dragged out. These plastic ones now tear easy enough. How would you explain a muddy bloody wad of paper to a CO trying to read it. I guess the MNR would want us to carry around a ziplock to put it in IDK WTF

Ya if this is streamlining is the "Service Charge" going to be removed, Id be using my ink and paper to print the licenses and tags and I won't need to occupy a Service ontario employees time?

If you did not submit your paperwork to get your PAL, then you can at least carry your test results. There will be no H1/H2, only a hunting licence, and either you can prove your eligibility for gun hunting to the MNR or not.

That will probably be the way it goes, or some other sealable container. You only have to actually attach the tag if the animal is going to be left unattended by the hunter it belongs to. Otherwise, you notch the tag on-site as usual and then keep it handy for inspection.

Actually, as much as we all ##### about public service sector jobs>>>>>this "improvement" is to streamline costs>>>>while increasing "revenue stream".

The person behind the desk has a good, family supporting job. Support that job, in fact disprove that it will cut costs, make them hire more people.

I had a FAC first as well. Still had to take a hunting course later and buy the book from MNR for the exam. They had hoops for us to jump through even back then. My last FAC was processed in February of 1992, still have it. Only cost $10.
 
Self printed tags on plain paper is a good idea if you want to harvest multiple animals. ...brings some equality to those that don't qualify as statis hunters....lol.
