Ontario Test Return times?

CFO Ontario and FSESO

Well I would say it looks like we're on track to get our results around the 6 week mark, maybe 7 :(

Which is more than stated in "Where are my papers"
Of course, FSESO is Ontario

http://www.fsesoi.org/index.php/wheres-my-paperwork.html

Here's part of what they say (italics and bold mine)
If it has been at least four weeks since you took your course and/or test, and you have not received your paperwork, (you must know the month, day and year of the course as well as the instructor in order for us to locate your paperwork) You may call:
1- 800 - 731- 4000 extension 7514

If not for love

I would have been in possession of my RPAL already.

I had planned on taking the courses/exams of the 18th/19th of Sept.
My girlfriend's birthday is on the 9th, BUT................
after registering for the CFSC/CRFSC, I remembered that her
birthday party had been scheduled for the 18th so that family
members (kids, grandkids, brothers, sisters, mothers, cousins and aunts)
could come from all over Ontario for her birthday.

I therefore had to postpone my courses/exams to the first available which were 2nd/3rd of October. (But I'll not hold it against her. She's one of my references and is encouraging this hobby. When licensed I'll take her to the Club's Range (where I'm almost sure she'll outshoot me........ ).)

Just received a callback from Deb at the CFO Ontario.
Very pleasant lady.
They are backed up terribly and they're just processing
end of Sept tests.
Mine having been passed on 2/3 October, "should" be done next week.
She's so pleasant and polite that it's impossible to get mad at her (she only works there, we all know and works as she's told and with whatever tools or help she's given, or not. I'm just guessing at this last sentence. She did not blame anything except the Hunting Season rush.)

Did anyone, doing their restricteds end of Sep/beg Oct receive their stamped results in two weeks? She would be interested in receiving info about these cases (since they'd be out of the ordinary......)

Thanks for the update. At least they are nearly at our exams.

Thanks for the update. At least they are nearly at our exams.

I hope you're not a hunter but just a target shooter, BECAUSE, all these darn delays are due to the Hunting Season and ALL those hunters and wannabe-hunters and would-be hunters are clogging the system up.cou:

Next week hopefully

and to top it all off, my brother (one of two guarantors) is travelling out of country soon for a few weeks.
I asked him to phone in for the interview even though my exam results are not (officially) stamped and returned.

Unfortunately the CFC will not start to process an app. until it is complete.

I made a call to the cfc yesterday, my application and stuff was logged in by them on Sept 2nd, and still nothing. She told me that my application had been sent to the CFO in Ontario for revision. Estimated wait time as of yesterday? 1-3 months!

Hurting Situation.

Only step (almost) 2

Thanks for the update. At least they are nearly at our exams.

Steps
1- CFSC and CRFSC ............done
2- get results from CFO........waiting and fax to CFC
3- application with CFC........ done and number posted
4- 3 interviews
5- IF approved, wait for PAL
6- when received scan and send to (in my case) Kodiak Outpost, where handgun is already packed.
7- they arrange transfer
8- get Short term ATT from my place of work to home
9- apply for LTATT through Gun Club
10- receive package
11- wait for ATT
12- Receive ATT (hopefully on a day when the handgun range is open.)
13- Ravage, punish and damage an innocent piece of paper.

You guys in Notario need a new government, that gun club/ATT process and the 'verified' tests are just ridiculous ways to keep guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens.

New ? but different.....

Unfortunately this is the land of the meek that will NOT inherit anything. (Any "inheritance" will be prohibited.)
McGuinty's 1st promise was the 1st one he broke when 1st elected and what do the sheep (err. meek) do? They re-elect him.
Not all of us are Tontarians but there are enough to elect the Lie-berals again and again.

Tonto was the Lone Ranger's companion. But tonto in Spanish is .......

I asked him to phone in for the interview even though my exam results are not (officially) stamped and returned. They wouldn't interview him but took his phone number in Cairo, Egypt and said they would call if need be.

To save some money out of those b-millions, here he was calling locally and offering to do the interview, but, no, they're willing to call him long-distance for a 20-minute phone call. Never mind that Egypt is seven hours ahead of us.

FYI I did my CRFSC Oct 16-17 and I got my results yesterday!

Just kidding, that would have been awesome! It sounds like I've got another 2 weeks to wait...

Ive come to terms with the fact that the gung ho me 4 weeks ago pre ordering a shotgun and ammo thinking the thing was moments away from my eager hands is going to have to be put on hold as I wait patiently for the paperwork to pass...

However, once the papers have cleared, I see a myself with that shotgun in hand, back on track with my initial dreams when I did the CRFSC :p Its hard not to become antsy as the days pass but what can you do about it? Myabe get your firearms registered with a buddy in the mean time?

I did my test Oct 2nd Im still waiting. I sent in my application yesterday with a note saying results to follow. I dont expect them to be here this week either.

Short historial (or hysterial)

I did my test Oct 2nd Im still waiting. I sent in my application yesterday with a note saying results to follow. I dont expect them to be here this week either.

They did tell me that they would be (hopefully) processing* 2nd/3rd October exams this week. So my expectations as I open my mailbox this week will not be too high. I try to slow the adrenalin. But come next week I'll be like a kid waking on Xmas morning and being told, "Sorry kiddo, thus is Santas FO's busy Season. Better luck next time."

Processing : Opening an envelope. Checking that examiners are ON abc and ON klm and ON xyz.
Reapply the templates, making sure that their examiners can line up circles with wholes; that all check marks are where they should be and voila, after 47 hours of doing this for every exam, placing an order with supplies, TO ORDER SOME INK FOR THE STAMP pad and find out that this is busy season for ink. Order a few gallons "Made in China" only to find out that Chinese ink disappears in 36 hours, then ................. review Marlon Brando's Sayonara and Shogun where the Samurai Geisha did not marry Lieutenant Pinkerton because he was only allowed CCW (not that he had much to conceal) but Ophelia, Hamlet's step-sister, called Zeus to extend the amnesty on winged heels that exceeded the posted Olympian velocity of 20,000 leagues under the sea where Nemo travelled tio the Moon in an imitation Rolex time machine, but Xerxes |Goddess of, well, eXes, didn't care why Z hell Olympus was not heated in Winter. Olympia's heating was ...............<<<censored>.................

WOW I dont even understand teh second half. But thanks for first half lol

I know this creature has been beat down over and over... and over again, but,

I honestly DO NOT understand why it takes so long to get the CFASC test results back, I went in challenged the test on Oct 6, passed and was told "give it two weeks and you should have the results in the mail."(*I clearly laughed, He understood*) "Then send in the stamped results with the $60 and other paperwork to NB."

Well here we are over a month later and still nothing. I honestly expected it to be close to a month when i heard two weeks, but the waiting is killer. I'm dreading the wait once I send this in.

I have heard that Ontario is the worst for acquiring your PAL, is this true? Have others in the London area had similar troubles this year? and last, Should i be expecting to wait two or three months for my PAL if i call in after i sent my results and get references to call etc?

Thanks for the time,
Mace
