But really, bolts break, it happens, its one of the design faults of the weapon system.
as long it its over 5k then its not a big deal.
Haha
To be fair guys the bolt is ran super hard because it spent about 50k in a home carbine length before switching into a pdw-length gun. This particular gem I smuggled into work because it came from a "full auto bolt" which I thought meant good stuff.
I don't know the make because it's about 12 years old and came from a rifle built to spec for me by a former cgn member. I don't know the name brand but it was full auto bolt.
Anyways it was in a "work" pdw that basically was stashed in the helux for the duration of the rotation as backup. We had a few training rounds to blast off before year end so a mag in and it started to FTE, and then FTF, and failed battery because chunks got jammed.
I put the original back in. And it's all good. This one I smuggled back home with my hair shaving clippers.
I want to say DPMS circa 2003 but I could be wrong.
So can you please explain the difference of a full auto bolt from a semi auto bolt?

there is nothing in this thread so far that would warrant a lock. Stop causing drama.
Haha robertmc don't remind me that gong show with the rail and barrel crown nut thing.
The carbine isn't retired it just sits in the safe as I'm hardly at home to shoot it.
Semi auto have some less metal, some have a slot cut in the bottom, some are semi circle.
They all vary
