So how did everybody do this morning?

I didn't see as many flying as usual. Mind you its 28 degrees here today, so the ducks may not have gotten the memo. I still managed a few mallards. :)

4 guys 4 limits of Mallards and a few nice woodies! However 28 C was not duck hunting weather, and when the dogs dig holes and lay in the shade, its not quite the same LOL! however it was a great day!

mosquitos out driving us crazy. Got 14 Ducks with a mix of woodies, mallards and teals at Galway-Cavendish near Bobcaygeon for 3 guys. Can't wait for the colder weather when the bugs die out. Half the time spent trying to swat the bugs

Hi all

Two of us out hunting on my pond and we got ourselves 6 teal and 1 mallard...missed out on a flock of geese....too slow I guess.

Doemaster
Awesome video...thanks

Dan

Thank you Doemaster!!! I'm not sure I will be able to get out this year... Darn obligations and life... But, it was VERY nice to see the footage!!!

Cheers

Not a problem ,I actually am starting to enjoy video taping when you can get the people to co-operate .In the first video you can hear the owner of the dog calling him but the previous retrieval I had praised the pup so he was coming to me for more praise much to the delight of the owner .The pup is a little over a year old and is a better retriever than other grand champions we have had out with us .

I got my first ducks ever today(sunday). A hen mallard and a hen teal. Then teal was my finest bit of wing shooting to date. Bang.....Splash!Had a great day. Also my hunting partner shot an eclipse drake which was interesting to see.

Didn't get out opening day because of work:mad: but I did go Mon. for an evening hunt. Litterly hundreds of birds coming in but most just out of range. I came away with 2 drakes and a hen. Between stupid me forgetting that I had my Imp cylinder choke in and the shi**y steel shot a couple flew off with a little less feathers. Note to self: After skeet shooting at the club during the summer remember to check your choke before hunting:redface:

Two of us with 3.5' chamber Baikal MP-153 semis, in individual blinds among decoys spread in a freshly cut cornfield, shooting a mix of 3.5' BBBs (Kent), 3' BBs (Winchester) and 3' Tungsten-Matrix Impact 3s(Kent). Bagged 7 Geese and 2 ducks. Not a bad day we had...
