Fortunately for him, noCongradulations, that is a nice bull. BTW, are you related to "Doug"?
That would be a good way to break in the .458 LottLooks good Cory. I can't wait to get back to the "choke" and do some moose hunting.
Thanks again everyone! It still looks mighty big hanging in the shed.
Hey Ted, as soon as I saw the moose was dead I thought, "I hope I can recover the bullet to show Ted"![]()
The bullet is still missing right now, but I think it's inside the skull somewhere. (I'm planning to do a Euro mount with it, so I've gotta get all the stuff out of there anyways.) If it's not in there...I have no idea where it went. I'll keep this updated if I find anything.
Cory
Okay, we'll be watching. Congratulations again, and don't let that moose hang too long.
Did you try any of it yet?
Ted
No kidding! That is one tough bullet test.
Ted
I'd say.
Hopefully I can shoot a deer or two this fall to see how it does on them, but I think I've found my new favourite bullet in the 9.3x57.
Cory
I'm sure you saw this one that came out of the bear last year.

Not the cruciform, but the regular bonded core, started off at over 2500 fps. Looking forward to seeing how yours works on deer.
