Okay Service Rifle lovers & M14 lovers !
We at Operational Shooting Assoc. have arranged a practice for Saturday 18 Aug at the w ww.Milcun.com facility's 600m range. Actually we'll be playing around the 300m and 200m and closer mounds.
We have a Fun Match happening in the morning and afternoon. All of these matches are derivatives (really a lot more fun than you know) of the Stage 1 Service Rifle matches 1 through 8 (these are variations on them, not the exact matches 1 to 8). Boy are we gonna have fun. Of course I'm not going to give you
the specific match details. You are not allowed to know them before the match and that's half the fun.
All I can tell you is that ONE of them matches is called "Escape from Azkrakistan".
Important details
Registration is at 0800 at the Milcun Cabin
First round downrange is 0900 (competition, er fun match, I mean begins)
Likely have 4 matches in the AM, and 5 matches in the afternoon
Combined Aggregate of morning and afternoon matches is the winner
Why does TimK always win? I gotta unseat him this year.
Ranges : I mentioned inside 300m and outside 100m
Magazines: bring lots , M14's at least 2 of them....
Ammo: I'm bringing about 200 rds of 5.56mm
NO Bipods ! Too bad, so sad....
AM (morning matches) are for the M14's specifically, AR's are shooting for honours.
PM (afternoon matches) are really geared toward the AR's, M14 owners who are AR-less, someone will lend you an AR boomstick, just bring up some Winchester White Box or Remington UMC, AVOID bringing up steel cased Norinco to shoot out of someone else's AR barrel ? NOT !!
Trust me...You want to come to these matches to test out your skills in stringent conditions and contexts we will provide you.
Yes, yours truly will be shooting alongside of you even with my 2 hip replacements during the rundowns!!
I will be adding to this detailed list as TimK advises me. You guys know what kinda fun stuff we put on at the Operational Shooting Assoc events...
Registration forms: bgotuaco@sympatico.ca Just email me and I'll reply with one.
Registration fee: $ 25 for a Guest fee that day of 18 Aug 2007, Saturday. I'll take your EMT'ed $ 25 and form..
Trust me, some of you who know me can guess what I'm gonna make you do to screw up your "Escape from Azkrakistan Match"
Those of you who preregister (just like the OSA M14 Clinic), I will email you directions as we get closer.
Match hints: Ask CGNutters sevey and Rifledude. They will give you ideas on what is in store for your shooting hillarity. (sp?)
