Some of you know that I seem to have a little knowledge of the M14 rifle :p ........ today I finally got my hands on the JAE 100 stock that has had so much press south of the 49th.

Off the top I'd have to give it a 2 thumbs up, nice finish......very solid.
No bedding here, unlike the McMillan M2A located beside the JAE in the picture....this is a $$$ savings right there unless you do a decent job yourself.

The way that the reciever is locked into the stock is A-1....there won't be any movement there. I had a chance to fondle this one.......as it arrived, none of the extra spacers were used, being 6'2" plus.....I've got some large hands.....I'd add in a couple of the hand grip spacers, they were in included.

The rifle was located in the middle of Vancouver....so needless to say I didn't get to fire it, but I did line up a few things in the scope and the ergonomics are AAAA+++++. I can't wait to put a few rounds down this thing.

Here are a few pics for you guys.

Very nice. I'm gonna have to get me one of these just as soon as I get an m-305. Is this yours, or is it a friend of yours, or a store? If some place in Vancouver is importing these, please let me know so I don't have to do all the import paperwork myself.

Wow, I must admit, that makes a 40 year old battle rifle look like something from this millenium. Quite nice indeed, almost makes me want to jump on the m305 bandwagon...almost ;)

Do you know if there is a Canadian distributor for J. Allens Enterprises products ? If not where can they be ordered in the States ?

Thanks

I talked to *************** at the Grande Prairie gun show.

Looks like they are going to be bringing in this stock set in fairly significant numbers.

Price .. around the $850-900 CDN mark. I believe an order of JAE's has either gone through or is pending at a dealer in Calgary. PM me for details. (or look at the above post!)

:D

Yeah! Rick T from Calgary is getting some in soon..Forgot the price $$$ but I remember it was at least half the cost or less than a McMillan.

My conversation with Rick:

"***** we have reserved spots in the manufacturing time schedule from JAE to build us several 10 stock lots, there are still a few available for grabs,in the time slot in mid Sept, and the stocks should be here about 6 weeks later, permits are all in place already.
The conversion of dollar, freight , brokerage will make these stocks sell in Canada with handgards for $950.00 plus gst and shipping, I would suggest shipping from Calgary to Ont would be about $30.00 (so about $1040.00CAD)unless you are way up north . The stocks are fairly heavy to ship Lisa tells me.
What we would need to get a stock ordered for you is to know exactly what make of rifle you have, as according to Lisa the Norcs are slightly different from the Springfields or the Polyteks.
What color combination you want, and 50% deosit, as I have to pay for the order in advance.
Please let me know if we can be of service.
Best regards
Rick"

Italics mine.

Sounds like a lot of $$$$.....but as stated.....once you buy a McMillan and bed it you are into huge $$$ and time.

These JAE's are similar to the Sage in that they offer a rock solid platform for any M14 type.

I personally would like to add one to my collection of Super shooters (crap! sold the McMillan/Krieger's M3A, M2A and the Sage.)

Oops! Guess I'll have to start again with a JAE :ban: :D ;)

Jae-100

My two cents:

The Jae-100 stock is with out a doubt the best stock available for your m14.

The customer service from Lisa at J.ALLEN.ENTERPRISES is exceptional. Your experience with this product and the company will amaze you. Phone lisa and she will explain the product in great detail and will even phone you later just to talk Guns! how cool is that?

My advice,
dont buy one,
buy FOUR!!!

Just my advice though.

I spoke to Lisa about this. At this time, the will only ship to Canada through this firm in Canada. They would not ship to me direct. They will ship to individuals in the States though,;) or through the 5 or 6 dealers there that are selling them for about $599.99 US.

You may find that the guy you love to bash so much, has exclusive Canadian distributorship, possibly making it a bit difficult to obtain a JAE by legal and honest ways.
