It's the flat top rail design, so eye relief isn't a problem. However price on the tactical scopes is a problem.
I'm inclined to just put a Viper HS 4-16x44mm BDC and call it a day! Why pay twice as much for half the magnification? Coyote hunting out here usually does not occur within 50 yards, more like 100-200 when you spot them and then they start running! Lot's of open country around Calgary.
The tactical ones are awesome, but I don't want to spend over $1000
Can you think of any reason a standard rifle scope would not be advised, other than blocking the flip up sights that are built into the rail?
I'm planning on putting the removable iron sights on 45 degree offsets to retain some CQB ability, but I'm going to take some measurements before I see whether or not that is an option... Of course, the smaller ACOG's don't take up as much room and wouldn't interfere with the offset mounts.
