Probably the double figure 11's. Yes the V bull will be smaller than a 1/2 moa at 1000 yards.
Maybe pull the 400 and add a 800 to give us one in the middle. Just a suggestion. Your the boss of course. And I won't kick and scream whatever you chose lol
What do you look like? So I know to stay away from you when Barney puts us into our groups lol I'm not laying next to your 338 hahaha
I'm going to make a suggestion that we put a single Fig 11 or Fig 12 in the center of the target board rather than the two Fig 11. That would be a more reasonable target for 1k.
Correct, but every "3" score beats the crap out of a miss. Remember this match is called "harassing fire". More so at 1000 yards. If I was a noob at 1K I would start between the fig 11's for sighters in order to guage my wind call. If the wind is constant (somewhat) then move to the fig 11's. I have found Mons range to be very fickle at times, but not as strong as Connaught range. Putting the single fig 11 in the middle will inflate scores. I am willing to take a sh*t kicking at this range if we misread the wind.Yes, but shooting a bunch of 3s isn't going to win the match.

Yuk yuk yuk
See you all on Sunday at Mons Range. We will be working with the TR Practice director. All part of collaborating and cooperating to share the Mons Range. Like the buddhists say, "Ya works with what ya gots."
Cheers,
Barney

The collaboration and cooperation was a bit one sided today. the 30 some odd practice shooters who came out for a day of shooting, instead had a day of waiting and frustration. While you guys were doing all of your short range shooting, we all sat for a couple of hours on the 600 yard line, wondering what happened to the 600 - 1000 yd practice day that has been scheduled for months. Two different events cannot be held on the same range at the same time.
