ORA Winter Program

So what did everyone learn from this last session? Hope you took notes, there will be a test in Borden when the weather warms up:)

ORA Winter #2

This day was full of information! I took about 5 pages of notes. I am really impressed with everyone so willing to share all the real life experience. It is much better than reading the stuff from the keyboard jockeys.

Again Bob, Thanks for a great day, and thanks again to everyone else who helped out!

Can't wait for the next one!

So what did everyone learn from this last session?

All other things being equal, the taller you are, the warmer the range is. :D Also, yelling wind "corrections" on the range for a few hours tends to make one's voice go hoarse.

Seriously, it was a treat to hear the guest speaker, and I think the section on mental prep needs to be expanded on and integrated into all chapters of the course. Breaking down the "I'm a noob, I'll get laughed at" mentality and raising shooter confidence along with competency has been overlooked for too long.

Despite his very early morning start, Bob put on a great course! It was really satisfying to see the guys coming off the range with big grins and everyone left with a list of new things to try or to buy.

Can't wait for the third course!

The guest speaker was stellar, may the new guys take his wisdom and put it to good use.

Stay tuned for integration, the 3 circles are about to surface. :)

Bob, will there be any attempt to put all this great info into a CD or booklet for all those who couldn't make the winter training sessions?

Wow, 2 time Olympic shooter going for his 3rd I believe, World Cup experience, Canadian fullbore and smallbore champion, 2 time Gov. Gen winner, too many other Canadian and Ontario championships smallbore and fullbore to count. Won two Gold, four Silver and two Bronze Medals in smallbore at the Pan American Games, Commonwealth Games fullbore bronze medal winner. And a DCRA Hall of Famer. You guys better take notes and pay attention.
It was Pat, right?

Jason

I learned that I have a lot to learn. Looking forward to the next session and especially to getting out on the range in April.

A reminder for the folks that have registered for Part 3 of the Winter program, Reloading that the date is indeed March 20 not March 21 at the BRCC, start time 0900.
