I recently put an order in for $80 in Glock parts. Got it yesterday and received only 1 part out of the 8 parts, the only thing I got in the mail was the cleaning mat I had ordered (which made the envelope as big as the mat)

There were several cuts on one side whitout cutting through but just enough to see what was inside through the bubble-wrap type envelope. Then it looks like the envelope had been ripped opened in one corner and half way open and never sealed back. I literally got the envelope half way open.

RYG has been informed and they said they will put a claim with the post office. So far I am assuming this will end with me out $60 ($80 minus the mat) dollars.

At first I thought that customs had taken the contents but if they did, they would've sealed the envelope back and stamp it properly in order to indicate it had been inspected, in that case it would have been a mistake too.
This is not the case. Items have been stolen.

So just wanted to share this so you know, too many stories of mail being stolen these days. I am wondering, what the heck is going on with the mail services!
I just hope they get those stealing and fire them, way to many over-qualified unemployed people these days to have as$hats like this occupying a role that could be taken by someone else with a brain.

For what is worth, here are a couple photos of the envelope:

It's entirely possible the Canada Post just beat the envelope up and the parts fell out. I'd talk to the seller about a refund since you never received the order, and if they're not interested talk to your bank or credit card company about getting a charge back.

^^^ Thats what I'd suspect as well, those envelopes can get stuck in the machines as they are being sorted and get chewed up.

It is true, that might have happened too. I will call ryg again today and see what they say, next stop is calling visa (which I forgot completely, thanks).

No cure, no pay - the money you paid to them does not belong to them until you have the completed order. They should reship or refund, and take it up with the post office offline.

Its seems pretty clear that the envelope has been through the CP ringer. Why did you go immediately to stolen? No drama here..
Padded envelope for small parts is reasonable, your problem is with CP, not the vendor. Good luck with that.

are you serious ?

CP is acting as the vendor's subcontractor (for delivery). Issues with CP is none of the buyer's business.
You do business with the vendor and not CP.

This pic makes me think it got caught on a conveyor belt and got torn up. The parts you are missing are probably under the conveyor belt ??

Is this company from the states? I shipped something from a Detroit USPS location in one of their bubble packs - that thing was tear proof. Probably the best bubble mailer I've ever seen. They should have used that one.

I'm not going to speculate whether this was theft or not, but those look like knife slits to me... I'm on the watch forums and people are having watches stolen like crazy - empty boxes are being received. Theft is very possible in the postal system, especially when it goes through US/CDN or international systems.

^ Ditto... I don't buy watches online these days... not worth the risk. Even though I'd never ship un-insured, I don't want my $ back, I want the damn watch!

But that does look like processing damage to me, most likely from a conveyor belt. I had some random Sig parts arrive a week or so ago and my package looked similar... and one of the grips was actually poking out of the package!!! No parts were missing as I think the grip plugged the hole.

Also my brother received a remote control car a few months ago and the package was totally open.. beat to sh1t, and you could see everything inside. It looked like Ace Ventura kicked it down the hallway! And once again, nothing was missing, or damaged.

So I doubt theft in this case, but you never know...

^ This

It is the shipper's responsibility to take it up with the post office if they choose. They are the one who purchased the service from the post office.

Either way, if you don't receive your parts take it up with your CC company and dispute the charge.

I think being a lazy-ass robbing crock of #### is a requirement to work at Canada Post these days.

How many guns and gun parts get "lost" or are downright stolen in a Year? I bet it's in the hundreds if not thousands.

Funny how all of our non-gun related orders all get delivered just fine and it's just the gun stuff we get problems with... 1+1=2

I just heard from RYG, they are shipping again everything that has been missing. So thats is great for me.
Kudos to RockYourGlock.
