Ordering from Marstar

I have dealt with Marstar for years. Service has been excellent.I always phone.You can't beat a 1-800 number. I had two occasions were I was not fully satisfied.A phone call and my issues were dealt with on a very fair prompt basis.No complaints here.
 
As an experiment I send three e-mails from three different addresses on three different subjects. One e-mail was promptly answered within a feww hours, and the other two I assume got put into their "bozo bin".
The one e-mail they responded to was replied speedily with an efficient and accurate answer. The other two still receive no answer.
Take this for what it's worth, and don't read other stuff into it.

Please don't do like so many and just send your comments without any ID, the batteries in my crystal went dead yesterday

As a matter of fact I would be will ing to place a small wager with you, say $100. you can't find one, do we have a bet ????
Hell Marstar has even repaired and serviced firearms , free of charge, when they were NOT even purchased from us.

Marstar is top notch service wise. I think the email issue is being/has been addressed. They are still my favorite. Now John, when does the Norinco shipment arrive, and what's the new surprise product? (AR?). Actually, the mystery is killing me.

Hmmm. I don't think I'll be buying from Marstar anytime soon.

AS for not being a sponsor of CGN, as I have said before, once the issue at hand is out of the way we WILL become a sponsor.... But then again since you already seem to know everything you are likely quite aware of what I am saying here....
You neglect to mention the large number of events we have sponsored and continue to sponsor, but I guess they don't count, dpo they ?

As for the emails, I have tried to explain this in the past, I have offered to pay $$ anybody who can resolve the problems, but then again it is much easier to complain than to offer creative solutions.

As for not answering phone calls, you base this on what data ? You have conducted an in house audit of our phone traffic ? If so I will gladly pay for this valuable information....

We spend thousands on our communications, it appears that we are wasting our money, vene though our monthly traffic reporst thounsands of phone calls
nobody is being answered ?? Something is wrong.

It would appear we can't do anything right

YES he was sent a full refund including shipping costs, DO YOU KNOW WHY, did you bother to ask before offering your second hand opinion ? Obviously not

We sent him his funds because we had no delivery date at the time from Norinco regarding our new stock of these shotguns and rather than have a customer wait for who knows how long while we hold his money we refunded, for this we sincerely apologize, perhaps we should have avoided this ????

Our Norinco shipments are months behind schedule, what else coulde we do ??

We have since received confirmation of the arrival of our next two containers, your "friend" can always reorder, after all he does have his money back and did not pay any interest on his card....

Yes we have two containers confirmed....
One is now scheduled to leave this week-end....
The second one follws in a couple of weeks....
Both are over six months late, that is why we ran out of many Norinco items....

A few new items are included, one being the 1887 lever action shotgun....
We will also have some SKS rifles at never before seen deals....

I've been making this arguement for quite some time (and get flamed for it for some reason whenever I bring it up) as I do most of my ordering at 3am on weekends (young kids will do that to you) and if I can't order electronically or at the very least by email (because I can't get a response) in Canada I go to Brownells or Numrich and do it electronically with no stress on a 24/7 basis.

With all due respect when most companies are using 21st century technology to allow easy and secure online ordering (24/7) and electronic communication I'm not going to choose 19th century technology (in which I have to call on someone else's schedule instead of my own) just because it's toll free during business hours (which is coincidently when I'm at work anyway)...With today's global market and instant access to hundreds of companies and services throughout the world over the internet a 1-800 number that's closed when I'm ready to place my order just isn't much of a carrot.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not flaming Marstar at all - I just personally prefer online or email ordering and as a result I rarely go the Marstar route as emails have generally gone unanswered and as a result my business has gone to other companies.

However if someone tells me that online customer service has improved I'll gladly give them another try.

I Guess I'm not alone. I ordered the .40 Nork last Oct or Nov with 2 extra mags. Rcvd the pistol within 3 wks but also got 3 9mm mags. I'm still waiting for the next shipment to come in. Every month I phone them and am told a different story but the main one is they'll be here in about 2 1/2 weeks.

I send three messages to the marstar email, from THREE DIFFERENT email addresses and only one was answered.

All were sent to the same address and yet only one was answered. 33% response for a business is kinda bad.

I did this out of curiosity only, but it sure answered my question about marstar
