Great video, I just love the 30-30. I have a beautiful winnie 94 which i've yet taken out hunting...hard to leave my savage 99 behind, but after watching your video i might just have to pop my 30-30 cherry.

Great video and great shooting, I’d say next time there’s any online questions as to the effectiveness of the 30-30 on large game you’ll have the straight facts to back up your claim. Great job testing all the different ammo, it paid off nicely.

I’ve always had great performance from the Interlock’s and PowerPoint’s in my .308’s, 165gr Fed Fusion shoot exceptionally well in my 700ltr but I’ve yet to hunt with them.

Very interesting info on the TSX bullet, I have always been curious how well it would expand at 30-30 velocities. Wish you had added the Partition to the list of bullets tested.

Feel like there was still great value in the summer's work - it solidified the idea that the 160gr FTX was pretty fragile at close range and there would be better choices if we were not concerned about trajectory beyond 150 yards. Also, the soft nature of the FTX could transition from liability to asset at further range where velocity is low...this is something I actually want to test next summer which is "what does the FTX look like recovered when shot at 200, 250, and 300 meters?" It's on the list of things to explore.

To others who have watched and commented, thanks for your encouragement and kind words! We had a great time and it's an experience I'll remember for a long time.
