Our Moving Sale Is Entering It's Last Week!

Anyone who shopped at Indigo, LCBO this year might want to pay attention to their cards as well due to their cyber security incident this year.

The difference is FOC was notified by Visa of the compromise, and then advertised a sale without notifying their customers of the breach. Willfully compromising their customers financial security, just so they can make a few extra bucks with their low margins.

Having the issue resolved doesn't really negate the fact they willfully decided to #### their customers over to make a buck. You can't resolve that.

This!

I have had no issues at all. No fraud.

If you do have fraud issues your bank should be helping to resolve it quickly. If not get a new bank.

It's not really the point. Once your information has been compromised its out there forever. Your phone number, email, address, PAL number and photos, everything you need to place an order. It can all be used to scam you again in the future. The reason people are so upset is because they knew their website was compromised and kept taking orders and didn't notify people. I sent them an email after my card had been compromised and never heard back from them.

I bought a prepaid Visa Card just to use at FOC, stupid hoop I put my self through but they have something I want at a reasonable price .
No worries of fraud and I'll use the leftover in the card for gas.

That’s not my point. Basically, your credit card can get compromised anywhere else including at FOC. It is almost impossible to pin point 100% where is the compromise. If anyone shopped at Indigo, LCBO, and FOC this year then their info could be compromised on one or more of these sites. These are only that we know and not include any other online sites that we shop from.

How FOC dealt with the security breach was not the point that I was trying to make. Having said that, I don’t agree or disagree with how they handled it as I do not know the detail. I can understand how people left with bitterness if it was not handled properly. However blasting every thread they created with the same rhetoric is a waste of time IMO. Especially, there is already big thread about the fraud. People LOVES sales and they will buy from them and find a way to do it if they don’t want to use CC online. I for one, go to the store and shop in person.

Oh look at that their Chinese Sks for $499 is already sold out. People still buy from them.

good thing stores only ship to the address registered on the PAL

Probably RBC? Lol

it depends if the credit card department needs you to speak with the the fraud dept. it's the fraud department that's generally very slow to pick up the phone.

my bank is sometimes fast and sometimes slow

even banks aren't safe from being hacked. 2 banks got hacked in 2021.
