Our Moving Sale Is Entering It's Last Week!

Bought something here, then paid for someone’s college tuition through an overseas tuition payment service. I eventually got my money back.

Not sure if the scammer ever did get to go to college tho.

Using prepaid cards is a good idea.

last i spoke to them ... it will be nearby the existing store (less than 5 mins from current store) but they dint tell me the address. May be they will have a grand opening.

When I talked with them at the end of March, they indicated close proximity and in particular it appears to be on Westney, south of Bayly. There are a number of different industrial plazas buildings and such nearby that can house the new location.

And in a few days, cue everyone complaining about their credit card being compromised. Why are people still doing business with this company? Let’s be generous and say their online sales have been “compromised”. There is a HUGE thread about this company and lack of interest in cleaning up their CC problems. Anyone buying from them is asking for trouble.

Yup!

I got scammer calls today, East Asian (Indian) accent, telling me my credit card has "oversea charges", and they try to get more confidential information from me. The scary part is that they used my credit card company's phone number, and pretend to be my card issuer fraud prevention department.

I called my card bank and confrimed these "oversea charges" does not exit.

I bought from FOC and get card comprised last year.

Seems stolen confidential informaiton (Your Name, Phone Number, Credit card information etc) will have a prolonged bad effect on you, they will sell your information on dark net and many criminals will try different ways to benifit from you.

Anyone buying from FOC knowing what was going on is asking for trouble for themselves.

BTW, current policy asking for both your PAL and driver’s license information is a recipe for disaster.

Liberal party is using this policy to create more identity theft cases.

Git your dirty hands off my HCAR. No wonder it ain’t shipped yet....

Hi

All issues have been fixed since November. Have a good day!

All issues fixed... HA. I'm still waiting for your mass email to inform all your customers about the breach and your screw up. Not only did you compromise all your customers info, you didn't/still don't even care to warn them or inform them. I'd rather retire from shooting than spend another dollar at your store.

I’m not sure how you can be certain where data breach of CC was initiated from. Please tell me.

Not sure for others, but I have a CC that I use for online transactions only.

If you only ever used it once and it gets compromised, it's not too hard to pinpoint where the breach came from. Over the last 15 years, I'm on my 3rd number, both occurrences dating back over a decade ago. First purchase online ever and the store site got compromised within a week. A year or two later, I'm strongly confident that a hotel lobby clerk copied it when I checked in for a business trip. Had Groupon purchases for meat and concert tickets before I even got back home.

If you use it only every few months, the information is generally used within a short timeframe, lest the card already be declared compromised because a different party exploited the information. It makes pinpointing the breach source easier than if used on a daily basis.

15% off everything, only issue is some of your items are marked up 15% higher than anyone else, take the Holosun 509T for example, $710 on your store, $602 at SRSTactical, Tenda, G4C, MapleRidgeArmoury, and BlackBox Customs, with your "15% off coupon" it's $604, so you're selling it "discounted" at the same price everyone else is normally.

Wrong.

The 509t at srs is not the same as the 509 ACSS at FOC with a mos plate. They are completely different sku# hence the price difference.

Their 509t was $602 which is the same

They certainly wouldn't compromise the CC of their Spokesman........LOL

I had a call like that, he knew address phone number, card number.....but he wanted the 3 digit CVV number....knew it was a scam then.

Yep, got similar call couple weeks ago. From [almost] my bank number (one digit was zero instead of 8, or something). They knew my actual physical address, and details from the card that have been stolen in FOC fraud in autumn. Was fairly convincing actually.
I guess, all the burnt people like me will have to deal with this for a long time. Thanks, FOC, your handling of the problem was so bad, I'm going to be your loyal non-customer for years to come.

Since I am in the GTA I will continue to shop with FOC occasionally if there is a deal. But i will only pay cash. I don't think the CC was handled correctly, and I am still hearing horror stories.
