I saw them LISTED many years ago but I can certainly accept what friend purple sez because I've never SEEN one, either.
Best thing to do is look for a dealer that has a bunch of scrappers. My buddy got a replacement barrel for his Remington Model 30 by buying a P-'17 with a crushed receiver, one that had been 'demilitarised' by some lunatic government. The thing had a diamond-lapped barrel, match crown and appeared unfired. Seventy-five bucks, plus more to remove and then swap barrels.
If you check the MilArm online sale catalog (which is 35 pages), go back to about Page 29 or so. They have 60 or 70 actions listed for sale, some with barrels, some without. Prices seem to run about 75 bucks. They might have a decent one.
Just remember that a P.-'17, like its brother the P.-'14, uses Enfield rifling. It lasts five-eighths of forever, but it does prefer flat-based bullets. If you are going to want to shoot boat-tails, maybe you should try for one of the ones listed above.
Sorry I can't help farther.
