I feel for you. When you take the resale value into consideration any marks on the item however cosmetic take something away from the value.

If you use them enough the wear exceeds the odd ding or scratch you will encounter in the lifetime of the firearm making the argument somewhat invalid. (Just my opinion)

The first scratch is the hardest....

you mean you can SELL guns? no, that doesn't sound right.....mine never leave anyways.....
 
The best way I have found to keep my guns from being scratched is to draw the gun so I am looking in my bathroom mirror. Next repeat this word ("PEWwwww") multiple times one after another. For variation you can repeat the word twice in quick succession - pause - and then repeat. If you are worried about placing the gun on the rough bathroom counter. Strip down to your skivvies and place said article of clothing on the counter before placing gun on top. If you don't have gun oil I have found scratching your .........................

You guys are to funny surprised it is still going... Got over the scratch quickly and next weekend it will be beside a whole bunch more during the pistol course I am taking.
