Yup... if for some reason it isn't 100% sure you're not a robot, it does the picture thing. Basically "click all the pictures with X", it keeps refilling the pictures until there are none left with X.

I find ReCaptcha2 goes into pictures mode more often when I'm on my Linux based computer than on my Windows one.
 
IT nerd here: If you have opened multiple windows on the same site you can trigger a reCaptcha. It doesn't like too many sessions from the same IP address. Cookies that are minutes apart and other such "behavior" can trigger it or it can be made into a mandatory weak 2FA (weak dual authentication) to prevent bots from causing shenanigans.

Henry will continue to get my business even if I need to spend an extra 3.4 seconds to click a damn box. I find it odd that your eyes/patience are good enough to complain about a very common tool used the world over.
