Hi, l'm looking at painting my rifle, would love to see some camo pics of yours.
l realize this thread has been done before, but almost all of the camo pics are missing. Any info, and or help would be appreciated.
l've heard to use Krylon paint, but after that ?
Please post or e-mail some pics for me to get some ideas.

I just used the camo paints from Canadian Tire and automotive primer. First I sprayed a thick coat of primer, then grass tan for a base coat. I sprayed the greens, blacks and browns in layers using grasses and shubs as stencils.

You could use any leaves, branches or stenciles to camo your stock (i assue it's a synthetic stock). I just bought several cans of Krylon camo paing and went at it. I would lightly sand it down, cleand it with alchohol, then wash it down with hot water, prime it, light layers of base paint 3-4 depending of coverage (allow for drying in between, apply stenciles spray with different again several coats (allow for drying in between, remove stencil and finish off with Excel Crystal Clear Matte fiinish.

This was my first very attempt at digi camo, it's getto but it was a learning experience. The key thing is take your time don't rush it or the finish with be crappy or chip off.

Here is a Stevens 200 I am building for a young fellow. Just did the paint job a few days ago (Krylon green and white)

This was my 223 Rem 700 sps.
Picked up the stock off the forum here...Krylon painted snow camo on the action, barrel etc.
Sorry I do not have a better pic of the rifle...but it did look pretty good and this yote didn't complain about it much:D

Wow, I like the looks of those savages! Funny how we have two threads about painting at the same time. Did you use krylon? Looks like a tan base with green and brown on top?

I use black, tan, olive and brown on all of them, just in different orders. The top savage had tan as the final color, the bottom one had brown (I think).

Done. This one's a 7mm-08. Glass bedded, forend and buttstock reinforced, SSS trigger. Paintjob, 3 coats primer, 3 coats Tremclad sage hammered finish, Krylon Webbing paint in black and gold chiffon, 3 coats clearcoat.
