Paint job, yeah or neah?

I could live with that colour. Can't find any of that webbing paint here in SJ.

I am totally joking, that would be crual and unusual. Don't they have RONA or anything out in NB?

No RONA ....... CT, WalMart, HomeDepot, Kents, Micheals (crafts), no webbing paint.

if you are going to put the gun on the EE anyway, why not just put it up in its current grey, neutral form and offer to paint it any color the guy wants?

would make more sense. i mean what if you paint it desert tan but he wants OD? why not ask? would be easer to sell that way, IMO.

It has a;ready been sold to SC, in it's unpainted form.......

I talked to suppliers months ago and they said that webbing is no longer avaliable in Canada, don't know if this is BS or truth.

I like the design but just not the paint colours. Not a big fan of the orange, but I do like the style.

Came to this thread late, like usual. I really liked the stripy one with all the colours. I liked the colours and I liked the workmanship. I can't believe a guy would ever change it just because of some discussion!!!

Painting stocks are fun to do, and you can usually drink a case in the process.
For some guys, who cant do a triggerjob, or who arent mechanically inclined, a paintjob is a cheap and easy way to make your gun yours, or protect it. Paint wipes off with a few products depending on the paint you use, so in some cases. Its a cheap way to make a fuggly rifle fugglier, or better.
My 243 has been done a few times and its a hoot to do.
Here is the factory rifle

Its first ever camo job (in the middle)

first wintercamo job

The whole rifle with the 10-22 done the same.

Back to factory like form with Matte black paint.

Now most recently, back to wintercamo.

Its just fun, and sometimes you end up with an ugly job, but you learn from the ugly ones as the not so ugly
