Here are a couple I have tried for the first time. The second one is in gold webbing, it looks shinny but it is'nt that is the flash. I have noy seen one in that colour so I thought I would try it and I love it.

i want to try painting the syn stock on my 280 (i wanted to do a "quick" clean out in the field and sprayed the barrel and action out with solvent...DUH) so needless to say i have a few 'run markes' on the stock. should i try to sand 'em smooth then paint? also some pointers on how to get those webbings so nice... :)
thanks

Yours looks great Bob I would like to try that on one of my 3 stocks left to paint, Do you just lay the branches on the stock to get that pattern. You are right endless ideas out there, it's fun.

It is a little trippy but it looks not so bling, bling when you see it in person I really like the gold on black, Oh by the way I am telling everyone that I am blind in the right eye so I don't get to much ribbing about being a backward shooter, LOL.

...exactly..just lay the branches on
I paint it flat green first...then I dust it over with some beige or tan, some spots a little heavier...a touch of brown here and there, then I use the branches with the black...once I get it good enuff for me,I'll dust it with the green and brown randomly to hide a majority of the black..seems to work for me...
I usually just do quick shots of colour, instead of a long spray..

This is just the Krylon camo from CanadianTire...then I'll topcoat it with a flat clear for some durability

Just finished my Stevens project. It's nothing compared to some of the paint jobs posted here, but it doesn't help if you don't have any artistic abilities. So I decided to hit it with a can of Duplicoat bedliner, followed by Krylon Fusion flat black, and a matte clear coat for added durability.

Nice job 604...it looks better that that "F'ugly" grey colour...
my cousin and I did his beat Ruger, did exactly the same thing to the stock, then he wanted to camo it........we gave er a go and he was quite happy needless to say...really easy to do..if ya don't like, start over again:D

OK heres my question
If you screw up or dont like the paint job you did, can you fix it ? or do you just paint over it ?

Also any new paint jobs ?

Good work so far guys

Yup...just paint over it.....really easy to do and cheap too...can get it just the way ya want to for a few bucks in paint

I just finished my first Win94 er, uh...I mean bedliner stock job. ;)

It is covering up what was a very plain looking piece of wood, with a damaged finish. I thought I'd try this for a change...it's a Savage model 24C, series P in .22LR over a 20 gauge shotgun barrel. I just bought this gun and I am looking forward to trying it out soon.
