I will take my own suggestion and start a thread for all of you who have painted your stocks/guns, seeing as we have had quite afew pop up recently!

If you carved a stock yourself, or finished it yourself, that counts too. But only post your own work!!

Those all look great. How does the paint stand up to chipping? Are there any dyes available that would penetrate the stock?

thr krylon fusion is not supposed to chip as it bonds to the stock somehow after one week of drying.so far so good.

What kind of paint did you use on this stock, looks like it has a texture to it.

The stock has a slight texture, but moslty it's the way the paint was applied in 3 layers, to give it a textured look.

The spiderwebbing (to come toinight) has texture, though.

A clear coat to protect the paint. (Use a matte one)

Those look great! How do you do the marbling/spiderwebbing? Is it one of those fancy pants products or is it some regular type paint dribbled on some how?
