I recently received my PAL which permits Non/restricted & Restricted for Possession and Non/restricted & Restricted for Acquisition. These conditions are printed on the back of the PAL card.
I noted with the letter I received the PAL with (plastic card was attached to this letter), the bottom of the letter lists your "licence conditions" (there are no special conditions with mine).
The letter states I must detach the portion of the letter stating "licence conditions" and carry it with my PAL. It states you must "be able to provide both your PAL licence and licence conditions when requested by a peace officer or other authority".
Why in god's name wouldn't the conditions be printed on the PAL. Why do we need to carry the piece of paper as well?
Mentioned this to two current PAL holders and they thought this was new until they went home and re-checked the letter that came with their PAL and noticed that the same requirement was on their letter.
Anyone know why the need to carry the piece of paper with your PAL?
