i have heard if you call too often they flag you and it makes things take longer. You called them every week? Maybe that is the secret? bug the hell out of them! I have been waiting for 15 months now. (app received in Miramichi March 21 2019)
I have only called them 5 times. April 2019. July 2019. Sept 2019. Dec 2019. April 2020.

I would be happy if it only took 6 months. Especially now with the covid slow down.

My application took two and a half years. I called them once a month or so for the last six months of the wait time, they always said, "just a little more time."

It sucks for sure. Just have to be patient, unfortunately.

Jesus those wait times... curious how old you guys are, any boxes checked?

I was 27 when I sent in the application, am 29 now. Yes I checked a box, but not for any charges or prohibitions. Bankruptcy. I included a letter with my application about the details. The CFO did not call my references, or myself.

I am in BC.

Nice! That's great news

What province are you in? And was your application for both PAL and RPAL?

I'm in Ontario and it was a PAL/ RPAL. I'm 38 no boxes checked and I did have to get my fingerprints etc taken for some security clearance for my job 8 years ago. No clue if that had an impact though
