PAL Wait Time

Update:

Sep 12th 2021: Passed CFSC/CRFSC
Oct 4th 2021: Mailed in
Nov 4th 2021: Credit card charged
Jan 29 2022: Application approved and license issued in the mail
February 14th 2022: License Received in the Mail

Did it boys, now time to fill my locker. Overall took just a bit over 5 months.
Is it slightly poetic I received my license on Valentines Day? Maybe. Maybe.

Next step is to upgrade the PAL to the RPAL, but that time will come later. Im just going to enjoy this for a little bit. The real next step is to now officially join a club, pick up my wares on hold by a family member, and start sending rounds down range. Next up is my hunting license most likely.

Original PAL that expired (years ago) and I'm now getting back into the sport.

PAL and RPAL Application for New Brunswick (submitted recent Course Reports for PAL and RPAL courses along with application).

Mailed in Fredericton: December 21st
Received in Miramichi: December 24th
Credit card charged: February 10th
Received email requesting missing info: February 10th
- I missed question 17B like allot of others
- Called CFP and resolved it over the phone same day
- Fella on the phone confirmed my file was now being passed along to the NB CFO for final review
Website Updated to "Completed Initial Review": February 10th

As an aside, I could still access the Individual Web Services page via my original expired PAL number, although it didn't render anything different on my application process than the New Application page, aside from having my profile (name/address/phone/email) and former licence and expiry date details.

i know from experience that could take 3-4 months
 
Is there a way to check the exact date of when our status has been updated? I got approved for my PAL but trying to find out exactly when it was updated so I can figure out when the 2 week period ends.
 
Son mailed his app in February 2021. Received letter in October saying he was $1.36 short payment. Letter had a $1.96 stamp on it. He resent CC info in a letter back right away. Now it's Feb 2022. Go figure.

Ontario RPAL Course/Test completed October 19th
Application mailed without test results on Nov22, received in Miramichi , Nov25 (I learned a bit late that I could send in my application and fax results later)
CC charged and appearing online on December 29th, faxed in results on same day
License issued February 7th, 2022
License finally received today, February 16th, 2022
 
My PAL/RPAL application was received January 7th . I checked online and still nothing to show. I tried calling but message says basically try again later . Any tips ? Should I just keep calling or hang tight and keep checking online ?
 
My wife"s restricted PAL was expiring the end of January send in the online renewal form the first week, because we forgot about it ,of January was approved and in the mail two weeks later so not to bad going .

Received there means nothing, gotta wait for your credit card to be charged, which is usually about 28 days after it was received but I have read some say up to 45 days. A call to check on it doesn't hurt though.

Yes mine was new and also restricted. Did not call my references

Received Dec 6th, charged January 18th, sat on completed the initial review until it was issued on Feb 18th. Still hasn't arrived in the mail yet
